Diabetes

425 million people are suffering from diabetes, and the number has been rising rapidly in middle- and low-income countries. This number is estimated to increase to around 628 million people by 2045.1

Diabetic retinopathy

Diabetic retinopathy is the leading cause of vision loss in working-age adults (20-65-year-olds). One-third of diabetics have some degree of diabetic retinopathy, however, all diabetics are in need of regular screening.1

Fundus camera market

The global fundus camera market is expected to grow by approximately 4.1 percent annually between 2017 and 2024, but the global handheld fundus camera market is expected to grow even more, by approximately 11.3 percent per year.2
