Tell us about your background and role at Optomed

I’ve always known I want to work with people. When I was 19 years old, I started my career in the restaurant industry, where I did many different tasks from bartender to manager positions. That time taught me a lot about customer service, but later I also realized that it taught me a lot about human resource management.

For the last 10 years, I have been working on HR-related tasks such as recruitment, employment matters, and well-being at work. I´ve been working as an HR Manager at Optomed since December 2021.

What do you like best at your job?

My field of work is very wide, and I can also influence it a lot myself. There is no same kind of days in the work week, and you don’t always know what the day is going to hold. I am a small “one-person HR team” but I´m always working with a lot of different people every day. The best thing about my new job has been getting to know Optomed employees and realizing that I have become part of this work community. There are great professionals working here and it is a pleasure to be a part of this team.

What’s one thing most people don’t know about you?

I don’t know anything about movies because I always fall asleep when I try to watch a movie. Watching movies is like a sleeping pill for me and I usually only see the first few minutes and the end texts of the movie.
