Tell us about your background and role at Optomed

My background is in science and biomedical research. I’m biochemist by training and did my doctoral thesis in internal medicine. My post-doctoral studies brought me to Canada, the University of Toronto, where I built my knowledge how lung diseases develop on a molecular level. Working abroad nurtured my confidence that turning of laboratory findings into the products that solve global health problems is my driving force. Currently I’m working as Quality & Regulatory Affairs Specialist at Optomed’s Quality Team. My main responsibility is to facilitate risk management activities of Optomed products through their lifecycle to ensure our products are safe, effective, and meet the requirements of applicable standards and regulations.

I’m mom of a toddler who brings to my life meaningfulness, daily innovations and daycare routines. Essential values to me are flexible working hours, equality and family friendliness in working life. I actively do non-profit work for Mothers in Business network.

What do you like best at your job?

They are a source of learning, inspiration and fun. Quality is an essential part of our all functions, and it motivates me to work with people from different teams and expertise. I found that I am strongly able to influence on my role and responsibilities to learn new skills.

What’s one thing most people don’t know about you?
