Inside information: Optomed announces CEO transition plan

Optomed’s current CEO Seppo Kopsala and the Board of Directors have agreed that Kopsala will leave the CEO position once the new CEO is ready to start. Seppo Kopsala is the founder of Optomed, and he has been the Company’s CEO since 2005. The Company’s Board of Directors has started the process to find a new CEO.

I have passionately built Optomed for over 15 years, and my background and expertise lie more in product development and startup entrepreneurship. The Company’s most significant product development programs are now finishing, and our products are excellent. The next phase will be scaling up the sales. Optomed and its success remain extremely important to me. I will continue to be a shareholder in the Company, and I am willing to be available to the company in a separately agreed role if requested.” Seppo Kopsala comments.
